How to Cancel Cartrack

Step by step

1. Check your contract end date and notice period in your agreement.
2. Send a written cancellation to client services (clientservices@cartrack.com) or use the cancellation form Cartrack provides.
3. Include your ID number, account number, vehicle registration and the end date you want.
4. Ask for written confirmation, the final amount and any early-cancellation or de-installation fee.
5. Return equipment or book de-installation if Cartrack asks.

How long is a Cartrack contract?

Cartrack’s standard personal plans are sold on a 36-month minimum term, which is what makes installation free. Some products are available on other terms; your agreement is the final word.

Cancellation fees

If you cancel before the minimum term ends, Cartrack may charge a cancellation fee. Some providers also charge to remove the unit. Ask for both amounts in writing before you confirm.

Can Cartrack blacklist you?

Cartrack itself does not “blacklist” people, but if you stop paying without cancelling properly, the debt can be handed over for collection and reported to credit bureaux, which can affect your credit record. Adverse listings are usually kept for a limited period set by credit-reporting regulations. The safest route is always to cancel in writing and settle what you owe.
