How Does the Netstar Tracker Work?

• Battery units (e.g. STARtag) are wireless recovery units that stay quiet until a theft is reported.
• Jamming detection flags attempts to block the signal.
• The control room monitors alerts 24/7 and dispatches recovery teams.

How to test your Netstar tracker

1. Call Netstar support on 0860 12 24 36 and ask for a unit test; the agent confirms the unit’s last report.
2. If you have live tracking, open the Netstar app and check that the last position and time are current after a short drive.
3. Netstar asks customers to test the unit every six months, and after battery replacements, panel repairs or services, when wiring may have been disturbed.

1. Download the Netstar app or log in at My Netstar (my.netstar.co.za).
2. Sign in with your Netstar username and password (see finding your username).
3. Select your vehicle to see its latest position. Live tracking depends on your plan.
